A Kansan through and through. Jay was born in Manhattan and grew up in Topeka, Kansas. He received his Bachelors of Business Administration degree with a major in Accounting and a minor in Economics from the Shockers of Wichita State University. Following graduation, he has worked in CPA firms located in Emporia, Ottawa, Kansas City, and Olathe. Jay enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking at Philmont, the Grand Canyon, kayaking the Missouri 340 and playing golf.

Jay is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Kansas Society of Certified Public Accountants, Music Theatre Kansas City and the Olathe Chamber of Commerce’s Ambassador Club. Jay is also a Quickbooks Pro Advisor.

A lifelong resident of Franklin County, Kansas, Mike grew up in a small town of Pomona, Kansas before attending Emporia State University and receiving a Bachelor of Science in business with a Major in Accounting. After working a few years in a regional firm and in private industry, Mike fulfilled his dream of working as a tax professional close to home when he joined Davidson & Brown in 2013. Mike is an active member of the Ottawa Rotary Club as well as the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Ottawa and enjoys running and biking along the Flint Hills Nature Trail in his free time.
